Cincinnati Chili

Cincinnati Chili is a favorite in my house.  My father started making this spicy chili long ago and it has become a favorite among my friends.  When Dom comes to stay with me, I cook up a batch for him.

The chili has a spicy tasty that sets it apart from regular chili.  If you eat it on the first day it can be HOT.  I prefer to eat it on the second day because by then it has mellowed out.  I cook it in a crock pot for several hours then put in refrigerator to cool.

I like to serve it with an iceberg lettuce salad with cool cucumber ranch dressing.  I love the hot and the cold mixing.

My father uses the spice mix and that is the easiest way to make it.  Just add your beans, meat and toppings.  It is served with spaghetti noodles and topped with cheddar cheese.

I found a recipe that sounds good and is on the healthy side.
