Final Wishes

Yesterday was an emotional day for me.  I had to work on closing up my friend's affairs.  It is not a pleasant experience looking at  one's death certificate and their obituary.

His ashes were picked up by his cousin and he will be with his beloved parents.  That is what he wanted. 

What I want is for my friend to still be here.  He was too young to go.  

Not a day goes by when I  want to pick up the phone and call him.  He was truly the only person on the planet that knows all of my secrets.

Things are not completely over.  I have been trying to follow his wishes and at times it has proven hard to do.  

If someone leaves you in charge of their affairs, make sure everything is written down and will is legally filed.  That is the best advice I can give anyone who is in the situation I am in.

One of his wishes was for me to continue making progress with my life.  Moving over to the next phase.

Soon I will be starting a new chapter in my life.  I am looking forward to it!
