The Daily Confession - 3/20/2010 - Getting Back To My Life Edition

I have been fighting a cold but I did not let that stop me from going outdoors and take advantage of the beautiful weather.

I took my first walk of the year.  Last year, you may remember I busted my foot.  Off and on I have experienced pain but a year later my foot feels fine.

My goal is to make it to the farm and back.  I believe the farm is a mile away.  So far I can only make it half up the hill.  No fear.  I WILL DO IT.

I spent some time  taking pictures of Chippy yesterday.  I think all of the Chippies were spooked after the dog attack on their holes the other day.   Normally they are running around my yard chasing each other but yesterday they stayed in their holes and did not come out.

Busy day ahead. Must go. Toodles!

Daily Confession 2/23/2010 - The Day I Ran Over Chippy

Yesterday was a beautiful day.  I should have taken advantage of such a day and went shopping.  Today we have been hit with a storm.  I decided to try to get out early and get to the store before things turned bad.

It went bad the moment I got into my car.  It was snowing hard but my car was making its way down the drive way.

Next thing I know,  Two chippies run out in front of my car.  One of them ran off and the other just stood there.  I braked to slow down but my car would not stop.  My car did a half spin out.

I thought for sure I ran over Chippy.  I broken down in tears  and got out of the car.  Chippy popped out from under the snow!  He was ok.

When I got back to my car,  I could not move it. It would not go forward or backwards.  I take out a shovel and get the snow from under the tires out but still it will not move.

So now my car is stuck in the driveway.  I have no food in my house and have to wait till 10 PM for some help unless my brother comes home early.

We could get up to a foot of snow and freezing rain.

YAY!

Daily Confession 2/21/2010 - Fornicating Edition

Last night "Old Spice" came over.  I requested chocolate and Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. He took note and showed up the soda and brownie mix.  I thought he wanted me to whip up a batch but instead he was on it.  Adding his special twist to brownies they turned out chocolaty and moist.

Diet Cherry Dr.Pepper was jazzed up with a little "Maker's Mark".   I think I am a fan of bourbon now.  Since I am not an experienced drinker I was hit with some warm fuzzy good cheer.

Today is all good but let me tell you what happened yesterday........

I woke up around 8:30 AM.  I looked out the window and what did I see? Three chippies playing in the wood pile.  I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a beautiful and not too cold of a day.  I guess they can't wait till spring.

Later on, two squirrel were fornicating outside my window. I noticed the male ran off when he was done...... typical LOL!

So is it spring and no one told me?

Daily Confession 2/18/2010 - A Special Guest Appearance

While I was talking to Larry, Chippy, "The Chipmunk" popped his head out of the snow!

Every time I would talk on the phone during the warm months, Chippy would appear.

I was thrilled to see him because normally I would have to wait till the spring.

People say I will end up the cat lady but the truth is I will probably end up being a Chippy Lady, who lets  all of the chippies stay in her house.

LOL Of The Day - NO! Not Chippy!

Everyone who knows me, knows I love Chippy, The Chipmunk who lives in my yard.  Someone sent me this picture of Chippy getting high.  I refused to believe it!

Good Bye For Now Chippy

I have not seen Chippy, The Chipmunk for about two weeks. This means it is time for him to go into hibernation.

We had a good time together this year. There was some tragedy in form of a bobcat.....

The late summer chippies arrived and once again we had chippies all over the place.

They kept me company as I talked on the phone outside on my steps.

They followed me in the woods when I went on a photo shoot.

It will be many months before I see him again.

I will miss you Chippy.
