Daily Confession - The Sitting On The Dock Of The Bay Edition

Today I rolled out of bed around 12:30.  Yes, 12:30.  I got up at my normal waking up hour, put out the trash then decided to lay down for a few minutes.  This turned into four hours of sleep.

La Dee Da......... I can sleep past noon.  Lucky me.

Actually this pisses me off because I lost the morning.

My plans for the day were to go for walk, take pictures and do some cleaning in the garage.  I can still do those things except now I will feel rushed to do so.

I was up late last night.  Someone was watching the Twilight sequel and I got caught up in that.  Then I had to make my "good night" calls to my Mom and Larry.

After I was done with that,  I decided to make a call I had been putting off.  It was to a friend who I wanted to talk into letting me buy something off him.

By the time I was done, It was well past 2:30.

So now I start my day.  I have to arm myself with plenty of allergy meds because Spring is blooming out there!

Love me some Otis Redding.

The Daily Confession - 3/20/2010 - Getting Back To My Life Edition

I have been fighting a cold but I did not let that stop me from going outdoors and take advantage of the beautiful weather.

I took my first walk of the year.  Last year, you may remember I busted my foot.  Off and on I have experienced pain but a year later my foot feels fine.

My goal is to make it to the farm and back.  I believe the farm is a mile away.  So far I can only make it half up the hill.  No fear.  I WILL DO IT.

I spent some time  taking pictures of Chippy yesterday.  I think all of the Chippies were spooked after the dog attack on their holes the other day.   Normally they are running around my yard chasing each other but yesterday they stayed in their holes and did not come out.

Busy day ahead. Must go. Toodles!

The Daily Confession 2/25/2010 - The Falling Down Edition

I have been feeling a bit off the past few days.  I seem to be on some sort of emotional roller coaster that is making me feel physically ill at the same time.

I want the future NOW and patience has not been my strong suit.

Last night I broke my cell phone.  I will end up having to take it to the Verizon store so they can tell me I will have to get another one.  I  have insurance on it so I am not worried its just that I do not want to lose the text messages I have on my phone.  I have backups for everything but text messages.  There are somethings on there I do not want to let go if you catch my drift.

I am still very upset about the magazine not showing up.  My emails are not returned. Turns out another women is in the same edition that I am, and she has not received the magazine or her emails answered. Very strange.

Yesterday I went to the store. Here is were my impatience kicks in.  The store was filled with our elderly.  Very slow moving, taking up the aisles, pushing you out of the way to get to the sales on ground beef.  Normally grocery shopping is an enjoyable experience for me.

When I was leaving the store,  A car pulled up and an elderly lady walked over to the window of the car to talk to the driver.  The problem was she was blocking the whole driveway. No consideration was given by her or the driver.  I finally had to pull around them. Of course people were blasting their horns at me to get out of the way.

I am going to say it,  Women are such assholes when it comes to driving and especially in parking lots.  Almost always they are on a cell phone, with a car full of dirty kids.  I know why people carry bats in their car.

I guess I am having my "Falling Down" moment. Even my beloved Chippy pissed me off this week.  Looks like I picked a bad week to stop sniffing glue.

Daily Confession 2/23/2010 - The Day I Ran Over Chippy

Yesterday was a beautiful day.  I should have taken advantage of such a day and went shopping.  Today we have been hit with a storm.  I decided to try to get out early and get to the store before things turned bad.

It went bad the moment I got into my car.  It was snowing hard but my car was making its way down the drive way.

Next thing I know,  Two chippies run out in front of my car.  One of them ran off and the other just stood there.  I braked to slow down but my car would not stop.  My car did a half spin out.

I thought for sure I ran over Chippy.  I broken down in tears  and got out of the car.  Chippy popped out from under the snow!  He was ok.

When I got back to my car,  I could not move it. It would not go forward or backwards.  I take out a shovel and get the snow from under the tires out but still it will not move.

So now my car is stuck in the driveway.  I have no food in my house and have to wait till 10 PM for some help unless my brother comes home early.

We could get up to a foot of snow and freezing rain.

YAY!

The Daily Confession 02/22/2010 - Needle In The Hay Edition

I am ok. Really I am.  Last week I had an old upset come back but its cool now.

This weekend was nice.  It was relaxing and full of sunshine, chocolate, Makers Mark with Diet Cherry Dr.Pepper and Old Spice.

This week I must accomplish a number of things that I have been putting off.  I can't really understand the reason I do this.  The end result will benefit me tremendously.

I am going to wear my new boots out to town today.  I am a little bummed because it seems as if winter is going away so I will not get a chance to wear them very long.

I am craving spring.  I want to walk my neighborhood.  I want to take pictures of the new life that is born every spring.

Will be later with an update on my day.

Daily Confession 2/19/2010

This weekend I have the house to myself.  This means I get to totally trash it for a couple of days, then clean like a mad woman when my "Old Spice" comes to visit.

A question that no one knows the answer to, but I am going to ask it anyway.  Why does every guy I know (regardless of age) have a bad back ????

This week three guys I know went down with bad backs and one had a heart attack.  Gee, I hope I had nothing to do with that!

I thought I was in for my own back problems because I had to shovel heavy snow.  Just some mild pain and stiffness occurred.

So on my agenda for the rest of the day is cleaning, organizing and making lists.

Nothing to see here.

Daily Confession 2/17/2010

Finally after months of endless looking, I found my perfect winter boot.  I moved to the East nine years ago.  Being from California, I never needed cold wear gear.

I fell in love with whole concept of "fashionable winter gear".  I went nuts with coats,  The boots were another story.

My mom came to the rescue with a pair of winter boots.  They were of the "Uggs" style.  I loved them and they severed me well.  When they had run their course, I bought a red pair of all-weather hiking boots.  Up until today they were my all season boot.

My beloved red boots got a tiny hole on the bottom.  Soon I found my foot getting wet and cold.

I decided months ago  I needed a new pair.  I knew exactly what I wanted,  brown with contrast stitching and a faux fur lined.

So the search was on.  Before the weather turned cold, I started looking.  There were plenty of choices out there at all price points.

Every single time I went to purchase a pair,  they were either  sold out, or not in my size.

After awhile I just decided to give up.  It just was not meant to be.

One day I was at the JC Penney site and there they were.  My perfect boot.  The problem was the price.  It was too high for me.  I knew Penney had frequent sales so I waited.  Soon they were on sale and there was even an extra discount.

I pounced on them.   I get all the way to end of the checkout process, press send and then something bad happened..... ITEM NO LONGER AVAILABLE.   I couldn't believe it.  So I try again,  I try different sizes, no go.

I called customer service and they were having the same problems .  They suggest I call a nearby store.

So I call my local store,  The snotty woman told me "good luck" nobody has them.

I ended up ordering the black.   I could live with black but my heart was set on the brown pair.

I was telling my boot saga to a friend, and he did something so sweet for me, He found them for me at a nearby store, bought and shipped them to me!

The black pair arrived first.  I tried them on, they fit and look even better in person.  I packed them up and wait for the brown pair.

The brown pair arrived!  Perfect.   I had a chance to wear them right away.  They work like a charm.

I am now very happy.

Daily Confession 2/16/2010

I did something today I rarely ever do during the week.  I stayed in bed and read a magazine.

My mother got me subscription to Vanity Fair" Magazine.  This is a magazine I have been reading for years.

In the past few years I gave up all of my subscriptions to magazines.  There is so much content on the web I didn't think I would miss it.

After reading the magazine this morning,  It made me realize I missed print.

We are getting some snow today.  I plan on staying in and work on my nest.   I really need to get rid of stuff.  Its amazing how much stuff we collect.  My house is not a candidate for a "hordes" program but I tend to keep things much longer than I should.

Right now, lunch is calling me.

The Daily Confession 02/111/2010

Champagne and coffee beans is all I have in my refrigerator.  I need to go shopping because I have having guests over the weekend.  No, not a Valentines.  " Just a friend".  Actually two man friends.   LOL!

I made a video today but for some reason I cannot upload it.  Not much to confess today.  I will have more to share later.
