Happy New Year

I do not make the usual New Year's Resolutions.  What I do is make changes in my life.  Last year was about healing my soul.  This year about about getting strong, physically and emotionally.

I faced one of my biggest fear last year.  That was re-learning how to drive.  This is something I need continue doing, build up my confidence.

I got rid of toxic people in my life.  This was very painful but necessary.  Now I want to fill my life with positive people who support me.

My health has been poor for a long time,  This is something I want to get back.

My photography is taking off and I plan on making big strides this year.

So that is all I got for now!

Have anything you would like to share?

Bokeh Party

Posted by Picasa

I love the Bokeh effect when photographing the holiday lights. Its magic. I like to believe that we all leave a little light after we have "gone".

Henry Mancini - The Christmas Song

I love Henry Mancini. I regret never seeing him at the "Hollywood Bowl". My favorite soundtrack of course is .... "Breakfast at Tiffany's".

Rankin Bass Spoof On My Beloved Rudolph

Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I love the Rankin Bass 60's version of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.  A few years ago, Mad TV did a spoof version of my beloved Rudolph and it is hilarious!

Santa Lights Up

This is taken by my Flickr friend, Rob from the Bay Area. I thought it was so cute I wanted, to posted it here.

Rob is located in the Bay Area, therefore able to take pictures of the lights without freezing his b*lls off.

Its been far too cold for me to try this!

Candy Cane Martini

I enjoy an adult beverage on special occasions, for example: Last week for my early birthday dinner with Dom, I ordered a Blue Moon Beer (my favorite beer).

I like my beverages to match the season and a Candy Cane Martini fits the bill.

CANDY CANE MARTINI

Ingredients:

    * 1 1/2 oz. vanilla vodka
    * 1 tsp.  peppermint schnapps

Mixing instructions:

Mix all ingredients with ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Option: Garnish with a small candy cane or create a candy cane "rimmer" with crushed candy canes.

Easy to make and very festive!
